Self-Retaining Screwdriver

Nemcomed is the exclusive manufacturer providing this unique “Stab and Grab” technology to the medical industry.

This technology combines stainless steel drivers and a USP Class VI Thermoplastic insert for its effective retaining functionality.

Its autoclavable, molded design is mechanically retained and has a multi-year life expectancy (based on industry-average clinical usage).

While Nemcomed currently uses this technology on its screwdriver products, including Hex and Star drives, it can be adapted easily to other proprietary designs.

Benefits and advantages include:

• Compatibility with multiple-screw interface options
• Does not increase the external profile of the driver
• Works with existing screws, preventing the need to obsolete existing screw inventory
• Utilization on 2.7mm and larger Hex drives or T8 and larger Star drives
